DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

   The Department of Computer Science was introduced in the year 2006 to render the service to the students community of this rural area to meet the needs of the community. It has become a centre for citadel of the youngsters who have so much enthuciasm in fulfilling their needs of ICT. M.Sc. Computer Science was introduced in the year 2013 with a strong foundation to introduce research programme. M.Phil. Computer Science was introduced in the year 2015 to enhance the research programmes. The department has achieved good academic records and rank holders in the university examinations. The department has conducted various programmes like National Seminars, Workshops, Quiz programmes, Symposium, Industrial Visits for enhancing the interest and skills of the students.
   The department has signed MOU with software companies for academic collaboration and Industry exposure.

HOD Profile:

   She has teaching experience of 18 years. She has Awarded Doctorate at St. Peters University, Avadi. She has attended and presented several papers in International, National, State Level Conferences and Seminars. She has organized several seminars and workshops. She has contributed several research articles in International & National Journals. Her research interest is in the field of data mining, fuzzy logic and neural networks.

   • To teach students lifelong learning skills, which will allow them to successfully adapt to evolving technologies throughout their professional careers.

   • To prepare students for employment and advanced studies, and provide them with significant experiences in complex software development for real-world problems.

   • To teach students effective teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills that enable them to work with others effectively in their professional careers.

   • To prepare students to function ethically and responsibly, and to be conscious of ethical, social, global, legal, security and professional issues related to computing.
