DEPARTMENT OF BIO TECHNOLOGY
The department of Biotechnology was established in the year 2006 with the introduction of B.Sc. Biotechnology and was expanded to a postgraduate department in the year 2014.Tthe department has been continuously producing excellent results. The department has a state of art facilities for both B.Sc and M.Sc courses. At present there are 9 qualified and experienced faculty members handling different subjects. The laboratories are well equipped with latest instruments and facilities.
A separate research section is to be developed in the near future to initiate research activities for the students and faculty members. Students are aided to attend workshops, symposiums at both national and international level and they are also encouraged to participate in intercollegiate competition.
Field trips to prestigious institutions and industries are organized to expose them to the ever expanding world of biotechnology. The department also has organized workshop, symposium at national level. The department has an active Placement cell .The students of our department has achieved gold medal and university ranks.
